I can't even begin to describe how tired I am of having every internet interface be via a smartphone. But on the bright side, I smell of pumpkin bread. It's my new mate-luring scent. Results not fully in yet, but the squirrels are confused by it. Secured a consistent painting night babysitter. Perhaps when I get to class Wed., my instructor will still remember me.

I have such a thing for the painting I've done in my figure painting class despite its imperfections that I have begun reworking the unfinished painting of Solomon. I'm going to have to figure out where there's space to hang my classroom portrait so that I can continue obsessing over it at home. I've probably just upset a lot of extended family on Facebook by posting the first session of the Solomon reworking but hopefully having seen the whole process of the classroom portrait they will have a little confidence in me. It looks like going backwards right now but it will soon go forward.

I have high hopes for my painting tonight, specifically that I can fix that thing that is supposed to be a neck somewhat. And get the resemblance closer. My instructor seems mostly concerned about getting my background up to par with the rest of the painting. So probably there will be some work on that tonight as well. This class I will be able to mix a proper black, the lack of which really had me flummoxed for a while last time. I mean, I can make A black - I always have. I may be very untrained but I do at least know not to BUY black. Just, I don't make the same black as everyone else. I know that sounds very groupthink but I'm finally at
